SAVE THE BEES
WITHOUT BEES, THERE IS NO COFFEE
Bees are vital to coffee production. Through pollination, bees increase the plants’ yield, while also bettering the quality of the bean.
A study published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences has a model showing the impact of climate change on both coffee and its pollinators. Climate change is changing our agriculture drastically and could result in the amount of usable ground for coffee production significantly decreasing. Along with this, rising temperatures will affect the number of bees in certain areas.
Most coffee producers are small businesses, like us! In order to maintain our businesses, we must save the bees and combat climate change. This not only helps the coffee industry but our planet as a whole.
